Can anyone provide me with some suggestions and experience as to how to mount this thing? I'm just curious how those who have this part went about mounting their's up. Any suggestions are appreciated. Pictures if possible please!

Thanks,
Schmitty

Belly Pan 101. The Coolice method.
Start out by cutting off the front mounting "tits" on the muffler. This will allow the pan to be mover further back from the front wheel. If you are pulling double duty as a track/street bike, they can be left on. However, clearance is tight to the front wheel.

The 2 front mounting tabs on either side will be used. However, drill out the threads as THEY WILL pull out. Use the c-clip type nut in 1/4-20 size. The allen bolts should be stainless. 1-3/4 inches long. Drill for safety wire.

Safety wire must be used as you can see in one of my pics that the non stainless bolt I used in a hurry snapped right off!

Coolice made these neat "horse shoes" out of stainless. They fit over the rear mounting block for the muffler and are used to hold the rear of the pan in place. Same set up with the c-clip nuts and stainless bolts. Only need to be an inch long for the rear.
The middle mounting tab on the rear brake side of the bike isn't used. I just drilled a hole in the pan and use a zip tie for extra security.

The horse shoe brackets in the back are safety wired across to help keep them in place. The pan around the header collector and the outlet for the muffler need to be trimmed to fit. Try to get the pan up as high as possible but not in direct contact with the muffler.
I found this method the easiest and the fastest.
