I want to say thank you to Liam on the board for getting me a front isolator assembly for my 04 XB12S. It was an easy install even if I didn't do it by the book and my garage was about 120 degrees! All the way from Connecticut to Sturgis, SD! Sweetness! Thanks Liam!!! (Message edited by xbeau12s on June 20, 2007) |

two thumbs up for Danbury. They are always willing to help me out when I need something over there, regardless of how busy it may be. |

I wish they'd sponsor BadWeb 'cause then I wouldn't feel so guilty about always talking about how great they are! I wish ALL dealerships in the area were as enthusiastic about Buells as the guys at Danbury. They also gave me my first Battletrax experience many years ago (before I even considered owning a Buell). I blame them for my current addiction. |

Actually they have agreed to sponsor. I guess I need to remind them. |

I bought my Uly there, and have had my 12R and S3T serviced there. They are a good Buell dealer for the most part, though I'm still not too happy about paying almost 600 for the rocker box gaskets and oil change on my S3T. The work they've done has always been satisfactory, so I guess I can't complain too much. They've also been good about getting the parts I need. I'd like to see more Buell merchandise though. |

They've always had what I wanted in stock and ready to ship with the exception of the Lightning Long sport saddle (which I ended up picking up on eBay from a dealership in Minnesota). Other than that one thing, though, I've purchased nearly all of my accessories from them since my local dealer always has to special order ANYTHING. Realistically, the only way they'd have more Buell merchandise would be if Buell had more "stuff" to sell (where's that damned belt buckle???). |

I'm a "Buellby", so I have not had much experience with them yet...but they do have a VERY impressive dealership- mostly HD's and HD apparel, though. There was a small section with one of each (almost each) Buell model lined up. Drooled on the Uly while I was there, hope they were able to mop it up. :-p Did get the pleasure of meeting and speaking to a very beautiful young salesperson named "Sabrina", who was very knowledgable in the leather jacket territory and even showed me an HD jacket that has a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY! If she's listening: Practice those figure 8's! And I have nice a Blast you can ride, if you want to practice with me. ;) Anyway- the main reason I was there (last Mon eve) was because I was scheduled to go look at this bike: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-Buell-Lightnin g-XB-9-SX-BEAUTIFUL_W0QQitemZ290130244492QQihZ019Q QcategoryZ49985QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (which i actually wound up buying that night), and I had a good hour to kill. So I figured I'd head over there. The owner (Al) wound up talking to me for some time and was extremely helpful with my numerous newbie questions. He even gave me his CELL number and told me to call him- whether I bought the ebay bike or not! I didnt call him (didnt want to bother him I guess), but he called me the next day and I told him I got the bike and that I would definately be going there for service, etc. (Message edited by buellsruell on June 22, 2007) (Message edited by buellsruell on June 22, 2007) |

Nice bike Ruell - Could've been mine - same year, color, almost same mileage, but where are your handguards?! |

Thanks, Nick! The previous owner took the guards off. Says he has them and will mail them. His wife ripped up the manual, so I wouldn't be surprised if she sent the guards to the wood chipper....lol. Anyway- don't think I'll use them as I am adding barend mirrors, as I did to my Blast. More pics of the bikes at the bottom of this page: http://www.zr2usa.com/BuellPics/?M=A Froggy- I'd love to join you guys for a ride sometime. I really want to wait until I take my safety course test (Aug) and get my license before I do any SERIOUS excursions, though... So what purpose do the guards really serve on the City X? I know they help with the cold weather...but it's 100deg here today, so it's hard to even fathom cold weather right now. I know they add protection on the Uly from branches, etc, when offroading... |
