long time lurker here with a few questions. i've got a 05 city x and have removed the hand guards. first question is what size are the nut and bolt for the hand controls without the hand guard mounts. second, how the heck do you get the end caps out without destroying them? i want to save them in case i want to put the guards back on at a later time, but need them out for now as i have some bar end mirrors that i want to install. thanks.

The end caps pull straight out IIRC.

If they're anything like the Uly caps, they pull right out. I can't imagine the replacements would be more than a few dollars if you did manage to bugger them up.

But I use those to keep small twigs and thrown rocks off of my fingers. ;)

ok, throttle side popped right out, clutch side was glued in, had to twist on it with the vise grips. popped the bar end mirrors on. all i can say is wow, what an improvement. bike looks so much lower.

I got the bolts at my dealership. I think one side came as a nut and bolt set but the other side was an individual nut and bolt. either was thy were only a few dollars.
