I finally got my beastie from the dealership...
I had to have my stator replaced, so all is well in the land of the charging system...
They also changed my primary fluid and adjusted my primary
Here is the issue:
When I first got on the bike the shifting seemed strange, but I just thought that it was just that I had gotten used to the GSXR tranny
but as the day went on I realized that it was more then just the not being used to it...
When I "wiggle" the shifter peg it is really stiff, any ideas as to what this can be?
Is it possible that they somehow did something wrong when they put the primary cover back on (i.e. pinched the seal)
I really do not want to take it back out there and not have the bike for an extended period of time...
Or would it be a good idea to just take it back to the dealership and have them deal with it?
I already checked that the primary fluid is at a proper level and that the primary chain tension is in spec. I also checked that the joints of the shifter mechanism are all lubricated...

Loosen the cover and see if the "stick" goes away, if not then it's deeper. Or you could just ride it until it breaks in (or just breaks)

Check that the little rubber spacer (they may call it an oil seal) is on the outside of the transmission casing on the shifter shaft. If someone thought that it is some sort of real oil seal they may have put it on the inside of the casing. This will make the shifting very stiff at best.

Fulgar,
I was digging around inside the primary Thursday night with a dental mirror and I did not see anything out of the ordinary.

Doz,
I went for a ride yesterday and by the end of it the shifter loosened up a bit, but still not like before.
This morning I loosened all the primary cover bolts and the shifter was as good as new.
So some threadlocker and the lowest recommended torque setting, and presto!
The shifter is back to normal.
I guess they just over torqued the bolts/ did not follow the proper tightening order.
