too much rain and too much pain }

Friday- I can only say that it rained and then hailed . I came away with a 3rd in GT Lights at one point I put my foot down on the front straight because the bike hydro - plained at about 90 mph. I barley missed 4th in CCS Thunderbike but I had a slight off track experience but did not put the bike down. I lost the front and saved it only to run out of track. The mud on the tires prevented me from starting the race again.

Saturday - I was the first nobody to qauilify for the ASRA race on the second row (6th) behind Blansky , Estock , James , etc

Sunday,

CCS Thunder Bike I made one lap to find my exhust had broken in the same spot it did in Daytona so after the hot lap I came in . DNF

ASRA Thunderbike. Race times came down to 1:44 I was spining the tire up trying to catch 3rd and 4th place. I go there and new I could not pass. I was safe in 5th;two corners ahead of the next person. I backed down and went on cruise mode. Coming out of what I think is turn 7 two laps later I hit the ground with no warning. I have never had this happen in 11 years of racing so I am not really sure what happened. I did break my foot in two places, dislocated my left arm , sprained my right wrist , and brusied my back and ribs.

I was off for one whole year waiting for my motor back fro Hals . It came back strong but now hit many false nueturals ( no less than two per lap) This added for much excitement. We plan to fix this between the net couple of rounds. I hoped to qauilfiy and finish in the top ten in my first national after the year off . We made one of the goals but hope to fix the transmisson and get back to our top 5 goal we had before our first motor blew. The new motor is strong showing 112.5 HP and 102 on the torque side.

I hope to have a better report next time as its been way too long.

Michael

Michael, congratulations and sorry to hear about your weekend. I could tell when we talked the previous weekend in Columbia you were excited to get back after it. I also hope you heal quickly as I really enjoy reading about your efforts. That said if there is anything I can do to help out let me know.

How's the bike?

Thanks and one correction race times came down to 1:54. There is no way I could do a 1:44 , must have been the pain meds.
