04/12S. Looked at both of them at the American Sport Bike site. I like the looks of the LSL underneath the steering head and it's cheaper, but I'm looking for any input before I decide. I checked the tech board first but there was no feedback to a similar query.

FWIW I dumped the bike last year after an evil tank slapper. Four hours in surgery, four days in the hospital and seven weeks in a neck brace have convinced me that I gotta have one to safely ride this thing. I love the bike, but I learned the hard way how unforgiving a real sport bike is when you make a mistake. I rode a Big Twin and a Sportster for many years but this bike is a completely different animal. A damper should be standard equipment as far as I'm concerned.

Bugman, what caused the tank slapper?
If your bike's suspension is set up properly, there's no need for a damper on the street.
But if it's confidence you need (and who wouldn't after all that), I would defiantly go with the LSL.

I've fallen a few times with the Storz. Add $90 to the cost of each crash to rebuild the damper cylinder.

Go with the LSL or similar.

I still have the Storz mounted but decided the last was the LAST time I was going to deal with fixing it every time I fell - so bought the RR damper (similar concept as the LSL). It's going to go on soon as I get some time to do the installation.

Thanks for the input. I'm going with the LSL as well as frame pucks (which I should have bought earlier.)
