Isn't that the idea behind a spirited ride? Keep up till you can't then meet up at our amassing point and keep riding? I suppose all the group rides you have been on have been to Red Lobster with your Hog buddies on Sunday. If your so good at analyzing other people maybe you should be a race coach or something. Otherwise your wasting your time and effort arguing with any of us. We ride like we want to. If that's too much for you, stay your ass in Arkansas with your ugly women. No, that's the point of racing on the track. The road is not the track, remember? It's funny how just you guys assume that just because someone is critical of your riding, he obviously can't ride. You'd be surprised how wrong you are. And just because you pass someone on the road doesn't mean you're a better rider. Some folks just don't ride with their ego on their sleeves. Dammit, now you've got me thinking about cheddar biscuits! |

I'd ride with you guys anytime!! Love the look of the roads down there. I'll have to make a trip. It's obvious you guys know each other well and ride well together. from a Canuck .... .... apparently with southern values. These gents are not squids!! Not out of control or harassing anyone. Well done boys! P |

Wow is that the WAAAAAHbulance that I hear????? Hungry?? I think you need a WAAAHburger with some FrenchCries!! Jesus H Christ...... I've read this post and have been quiet until now. In my eyes, REMEMBER JUST MY OPINION!!! there was nothing wrong with that pass on the right. It's called KNOWING WHO YOU RIDE WITH!!!!! Is it Legal.... NO Is it right...... in some peoples eyes YES in others NO. Would any of these guys do that move to a person that they do not know...... HIGHLY DOUBTFUL. Just cause you ride all properly doesn't mean that you have to spread your word to others like it's the law. If you don't like the video S.T.F.U. and let others enjoy. This is asinine. enough bitching already. |

No one is assuming that you can't ride. Your points don't apply to the type of riding we were doing. If you think mirrors are important for that type of riding, then they will eventually get you killed. I don't think you honestly look in your mirrors at those speeds, if you do stop. There are no mirrors on track bikes for a reason Like I said before, Holding your line is much more important than looking in your mirrors. If you can't understand that taking your eyes off the road for a split second is a bad decision, you need to rethink things. |

Watch the video again. Overall I think it was a bunch of guys out having fun. Sure they may have made, in some peoples eyes, questionable moves, but overall looked like a hoot! Wished I lived closer to you. |

I'll ride with anyone that wants to. I enjoy my time with the people I ride with, and at no time have I done anything to endanger the riders following me. If you want a REAL show of what 60 is like too fast, look up Mountainrider. He's like nothing I have ever seen before, so smooth it looks like slow motion. I only hope that one day I can ride just like him! Smokescreen |

If you can't understand that taking your eyes off the road for a split second is a bad decision, you need to rethink things. That's just ridiculous. If you're going so fast that you can't afford a split second to glance in a mirror, you're in way over your head. You have to maintain your situational awareness on the street, and that includes keeping an eye on your rear. Even professional racers can afford an occasional head turn to see what's going on behind them. And we don't have the luxury of a gravel trap if we screw up. Jeez, just when you think you've heard it all around here. |

I think the video is cool. I ride with these guys all the time and I have never felt endangered. I don't see anything wrong with how they rode that ride. I will be looking to pass XBullet on the right next time though! |

Brineusaf, just because you get away with something doesn't mean it's a good idea. It takes the ability to weigh risks and evaluate the situation at hand. Were you there? He was (obviously) and made his decision. Which I would have chosen as well. Ride your ride at 20mph, and let them enjoy their investments. What about drag racing... that's dangerous. Do you go to the strip and preach this B.S. to everyone there? What about flying... that's dangerous. Do you go to the local airport and preach your B.S. there? |

No need to be there, we have video! Go back and read my posts, as I've made my side of the debate abundantly clear. I'm not trying to eliminate the risks of riding, but that doesn't mean it's a free for all. There are ways to minimize it, and I feel like there are a few instances in this video where the rider failed to make the right decision. We all do it from time to time (I know I have). The difference is that some of us learn from it. Risk is balanced with reward. Where is the reward with the inside pass? The close call with opposing traffic? There is none. There's no trophy girl at the end of the road. |

Watching a video does not mean you were there. You have no perspective on the events at hand. You can watch a video and give your opinion about what you THINK happened. It doesn't make you right. If you didn't like the video don't watch it, it is for those of us in it and those who enjoy watching such adventures. As a matter of fact do you have any video? Maybe you would like to know how others think of your riding too. Smokescreen |

I disagree. You are commenting on 20 seconds of film. The ride was 24 minutes. He was checking behind him at different times. That is why he decided to stay put. His situational awareness told him to hold the line. He knew he had no mirror on the right so he knew not to go there. |

I'm gonna chime in "'cause I can"! I watched the video, and I've read this whole post. I have to say, it looked like a ton of fun. But I'm tellin' ya' man, crossing that yellow line around blind corners WILL get you killed. Maybe not this year, maybe not next year, but some day it will. I've been to bike rallies and seen 'em scraping up some guys skull where he did that exact same thing and, "Whoa! Look a car!". I've slid on my head out across the freeway due to some car that didn't see me on a straight part of road. Don't put yourself in that position. I cross that yellow line when I can clearly see for far enough to get by, but around blind turns is a bad choice. Passing the other rider, whatever, I don't care about that. My only beef was the decisions made on the blind corners. Bottom line man, always leave yourself an escape route, on those corners, not only were you in a bad situation, but you had NONE! The rest of that vid was great stuff! What state are you guys in? And don't tell me delirium! |

No video camera, but if I did I'd gladly post it and accept any criticism you had. For that matter, I wouldn't mind someone riding with me offering some criticism if they thought it was warranted. They may point out something I hadn't thought of. That's how you learn. |

His situational awareness told him to hold the line. He knew he had no mirror on the right so he knew not to go there. He wasn't checking when you passed, or for any reasonable period of time before you passed, and had no way of knowing which side you were going to take when you did. Good for him for holding his line. It's still a risky pass. You should have taken the outside (when it was safe to do so). |

Roadrailer Your point was made many posts past and obviously what you saw made you uncomfortable. No-one will dissuade you the otherwise. Those riders were comfortable with it. A bad decision in your eyes, a low risk in theirs. You won't change their view points, and they won't change yours. Their view points will only change if such a decision ends in disaster. So give your fingertips a rest and get out and ride this Easter weekend. |

Sorry but the last Brag event, Wicked Twisties, in New Mexico beat those roads all to hell! Thank goodness there were no video cameras or the flame wars would be burning down the house. |

Oh, and another thing... what got filmed was only the tip of the iceberg. Take advantage of it now. Sooner or later, it's going to be a lot harder to have weekends like that. Treasure it, gents. |
