Down here on a "business trip". Work requires a daily commute of about 45 miles on two lane blacktop. Average cage commute time - 1:40 minutes ( I made it in 56 minutes once but that's another story). Just for grins I counted turns yesterday. A total of 127 turns of 45 degrees or more - many approach 90 degrees or more and many of those lead directly into another turn of the opposite direction (left....right..left.....right. What an interestng ride. Uphill, downhill, across a wash.....whoops - there's a cow patty in the road....Holy SH*t - there's the big black bull that probably left it - also standing in my lane...... Also some deer from time to time. One of my cagemates say's "Hey look at the deer out there. There must be thirty of them". "Um......partner, those "deer" are wearing backpacks" Anybody see a Border Patrol Agent around ? All in all I'm really wishing I had a bike here. At least this time of year bikers are lucky to be in Arizona! |

Small world... I am also in Arizona (Tucson) on a biz trip. My buell hopefully is still at home. Be thankful you at least get a windy road to drive on. Everything here is flat, and all the roads are arranged in a grid fashion. I have been so busy I haven't even had time to venture up Mt. Lemmon for a cookie... (Those from Tucson will know what I am talking about) |
