Am I the only person with a horn that keeps breaking? A few weeks ago it stopped working, so I stopped at the dealer and they fixed it. This past week it started to sound garbled occasionally, but on Saturday when I had to use it in an emergency, it didn't work. I'm glad the brakes worked...

What's the matter with them? Are they this bad?

I'm taking it to the dealer and letting them fix it. I tried to get to it so I could check if the cable was disconnected, but it is damn nearly impossible.

Mine quit working when I got the drummer on and the button for some reason opens my garage door. Rather than the horn I use the exhaust to get get a motorists attention now.

Check the horn switch itself. Mine quite working and I pulled the housing apart that the switch was in. Found there to be some corrosion in there. Used some contact cleaner I picked up at Radio Shack and it fixed it right up.

Thanks guys, I'll look again and see what's the matter with the horn. I have a Drummer also, but I live in an area with a large geriatric population, and the Drummer is not enough. Maybe I should get one of those fog horns...

This is the horn I was talking about. I wonder if it can be adapted to my bike?

This will fit and is pretty loud as well.

The Stebel TM 80 Magnum is a very loud electromagnetic horn and is about as small as they get.

Here is the Stebel Compact Air Horn under the fly screen along with a bunch of other unrelated wiring crap. Sounds like a circus horn, but is very loud.

my 04 XB12S's horn completely broke off on the bracket. Must have been from vibration? Never ran into anything. It worked but the bracket broke and I could hear it vibrating around so I just took it out. So now, no horn and I just have to rev it up to get attention. Pro race kit helps (in the loud factor)
