For those of you with a Spec Ops on a XB9...What MPG do you get?

I have a stock XB9 and get 48-52 MPG. I am curious if the MPG would change much with a Spec Ops and Race ECM or a reprogrammed ECM. I ride some very Remote backroads where less range could be a problem.

I've got a Drummer, Pro Series ECM, and my mileage seems to be the same.

I got about the same mileage with the Spec-Ops pipe on my XB9S, as I do with the Race can, around 45-50mpg.

39 to 43 mpg with race ecm, race filter, and special ops pipe.

42 to 50 mpg after going back to stock.

Part of that was no doubt me.

Glitch, are you happy with the performance of the Race ECM? Is there much popping on decel?

I am seriously considering getting a remapped ECM from American Sport Bike, but not sure if I should spend the additional $$.

My highway mpg dropped from around 66 to 63. Around town I get 53 instead of 55mpg. Special OPS, Race ECM, 180 pound rider at more than a mile above sea level. YMMV : )

My mileage seems to be the same as stock.
I have the special ops pipe/K&N filter/Race ECM on my CityX.
I was getting a bit of decel popping until I installed the race ECM.

What's the word on putting a K&N filter on? Do you have to do anything else if the rest is bone stock? I can't afford a new muffler and a race ECM and all that.

I'm real happy with the Buell Race ECM, K&N air filter (snorkel removed) and Race Muffler.
Some popping but not much.

The stock ECM can handle a K&N without any worries.

I swear it has something to do with the thin air up here. My mileage is very consistant. I can get 55mpg riding like a manic in the twisties. Heck, I've gotten 56mpg burning 2 tanks of gas on my carbed Sporty riding spiritedly 2-up in them-thar-hills.
