Anybody know when a new race kit will be coming out for the 07' models? I've been waiting since August to upgrade my exhaust and ECM on the bolt. Also is there another kit that will work for the 07's? Thanks guys! -Black |

don't hold your breath. They stopped making race kits back in May or June of 06. Completely. I suppose you could just get a Race ECM, change the filter and do your own aftermarket exhaust. Mark |

Or if you aren't able to find a Race ECM you could always get your ECM flashed by American Sport Bike to match your setup. Or you could buy a directlink kit and get it tweaked by someone with a dyno. $.02 Sam |

Daves answered your question in a separate thread http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/254452.html?1170454758 |

Still.. There is no such thing as the Race Kit anymore. You need to be aware of that, first and foremost. You have to piece your's together these days. Mark |

I am sure a full kit can still be found, altho it might be a bit of work. I managed to NOT piece one together. |

Okay. Give it a shot. Let me just share with you, what happened with me. Let me first say, that I have a Buell Race Kit. (Muffler, Race ECM, and Hi Flow Air Filter.) Now, when I asked in August of 2006 at my Local Dealership, they told me that as of June, they haven't been made anymore. Only ones that are left, are the ones that were pre-existing at the dealerships before June of 2006. So, December comes around, and after months of debating how to do this, and after countless threads about the lack of Race Kit's out there and numerous used ones popping up on Ebay (03/04) or 12 kits, I had been debating a different route. While I was at the dealership, they happen to tell me that they found one in their parts area hidden behind other junk, and they didn't even know they had one. I was like holy crap. Let me think about it. I called Daves, and asked him about the availability of the Race Kit's and he was gracious enough to not laugh the entire time on the phone. He said that he thought there were none left in the U.S. Told him I found one. He said, get it. I got it. Had an issue with something related to it 2 weeks later and after their scouring other dealerships, they came up snake eyes on any "kit." So, I agree. I'm sure you could find one, if you were lucky enough to find a diligent warehouse inventory specialist. But, if you're not... Good Luck. Most people that have the race kit, seem to be the ones that either got lucky, recently (past 6 months) or bought their bike before June of 06. Both are possible. That being said... Good Luck. I hope it all works out for you. Plus, as a side note. I love my Race Kit. Best bang for the buck. Mark |

Might sound stupid but have you guys tried Australia. Last time I was at the dealer they tried to sell me another one cause they were having a slow uptake. |

I was told when I took delivery of my 07' that the current race kit won't work with it, and a new kit was in the works for the 07' and beyond. Maybe this is due to the new airbox mod, not sure why. But this ultimately led to them not manufacturing the race kit anymore. So is this true? Will a kit for an 06' (if I did stumble across one) work with the 07' setup? |

why not go with a power commander? And then get a nice(er)(er) loud exhaust put on yer bike? There are still alternate routes. Frankly I have the race kit and dont see what the big deal is, I still feel underpowered. |

Vaneo1 I did not go with the Power Commander because the race kit works more than well enough for me and it is plug and play, no configuration necessary. I liked the bang for buck combined with the simplicity of something that was designed for Buell by Buell. I think it is a shame that it is discontinued and am glad I was able to find one for my 06 |

elff, forget coating the pipes, $5 worth of sandpaper and the pipes will match perfectly! takes about an hour and a half, but the results will have you staring at the pipes wondering why they don't come that way from the factory. they really take a beautiful shine to them. |

Starter: Couldn’t give me a hint which dealer could you? I’ve given up looking. Ps. G’day all, been lurking for a while so I thought I had better post something.
