I thought you guys might enjoy this sweeeeet carbon fiber and unobtanium eye candy from HRC destined for Dani Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden's 2007 attack on MotoGP.
NOTE: Notice the familiar exhaust placement??
Is Eric getting any royalties for design use?
Or is imitation the true form of flattery from Honda??

Erik's patent on the exhaust has to do with the shape of the exhaust helping
direct air flow to the motor IIRC.

I really like the minimalist fairings on these bikes!

Not much logo space, better charge the sponsors more.

Who is that riding Pedrosa's bike? Is that one of HRC's test riders?

I want a shorter seat than even the Lightnings have. I want virtually no tail. This bike is getting very close.

I want seat with no tail and the hugger. I likey this ALOT!

naked, but functional. Note the pieces up against the motor to help smooth the air flow
from the radiators so it will cool more efficiently.

I'm just surprised at the stubby tail. That doesn't usually help much closing the
air behind the rider. Especially when you hit 200 mph or so.

But what do I know? I'm still just an amateur engineer, but I'm working towards
becoming a pro.

They probably have that fairing on that bike so it is easier to access while testing. The real race bike will probably have more fairing...if not for more logo space at least.
