You won't find a new one in CA for less than that. At least not in Nor CA but it's not a whole lot less than a new one. A new one is what? 8500? Not including taxes & fees. (the dealers up here love their fees & will not deal on that what so ever) Add in the depreciation factor (a new bike instantly drops a grand or two in value the instant it leaves the dealer).

I'd pay 7K for a used 05 12 but I don't think I'd go higher than 6K for a used 9. (If not for the fact that it has only 3K miles I would have said $5500)

Course in reality if I had 7K to spend on a bike I'd put it down on an 07 & have a year or two of really small payments

I'm not sure if you like the 9 engine in the lighting frame, or the look of the CityX, but there are two 2003 XB9S lightings for sale on cycletrader.com that are less that the bike you found. They might be what you are looking for.

Hope this information helps!

Daves at Appleton HD has a new 05 CityX for around $7,900

I wouldn't pay over 6500 for a used one.

One with less than 900 miles went for $5001 on ebay last Sat.
