After you hit the wear bars on your Scorpions how long did it take you to hit the cord? The reason I ask is that I have hit my wear bars and want to pull another 500 miles out of them.

Later,
Bart

How many miles do you have on them now?
I'm putting them on my bike now. I'd like to get an ideal of what I might expect.

Based on past experience, the tires would be bald (no tread and quite slippery) after the 500 miles. In the past, that has been enough to scare me into new tires.

I have about 7500 on them. They have held up well and I have no complaints but my next tire will be either a continental Road Attack or a Michelin Pilot Road just to see if I can get 11-12k out of a rear tire.

i replaced my scorpions with the conti road attacks and absolutely love them. and no you will not get 11k out of the rear Conti. i got just over 6k on the rear (no burn-outs).

I got 6500 on my syncs. But I got three words for you, Michelin Pilot Powers. Stupid grip and incredible feedback. As far as I'm concerned there is no other choice.

Ctyxmr:

What did you get out of your scorpions? The reason I ask is that I hit the 8k marker for the rear today but the tire is now trash.

So I am hoping I can improve mileage and grip by going to the Conti's

squared off, you need to go around some turns :P

my rear is just a lil passed the wear bars, has 4850 miles on it. the front looks new with 4850 on it.

Two places one does NOT skimp on bikes - tires and brakes. It's not worth it to try for an extra 500 miles.
