Sorry about this but the other day while at my not so local Buell dealer I had a chance to hear a Buell race pipe on an XB12. I did not like the sound. It was to blatty and higher frequency sounding. No offense to owners of this pipe, just my personal observation.

Question for those who have heard the Buell pipe and a Drummer pipe. Is the drummer deeper and "thudier" sounding?

Thanks!

David

Kinda like beating on the bottom of a 5 gal. bucket(race muffler) vs beating on a base drum(drummer muffler) IMO....Charlie

The Drummer pipes are the deepest and least raspy sounding of all that I've heard and I think I've heard most of the offerings. The prototype Drummer CF that I'm running now is the deepest and quietest of the all the Drummers. I suspect that the flexibility of the carbon fiber tube mellows out the sound.

I'm told our carbon fiber supplier is waiting in line behind aircraft manufacturers for a supply of material. We'd like to sell them now but we have to wait our turn and it's not a bad thing to get some further endurance testing on the prototype. I think I'm at around 750 miles now. No problems so far and I have jacked up the bike on the can as well (albeit well supported).

The cf Drummer is quieter than the original?
That's sounds almost too good to be true.
I might have to sell a kidney on ebay so I can get one

Well I like what you guys say about the Drummer.

The Drummer CF pipe sounds promising. I had a set of Forza CF mufflers from FBF on my Ducati 900 Monster and loved that sound. Deep but not too loud. Is the CF Drummer close to that?

Humboldtblast, I have some invested in my D&D. I bought it from Daves if I remember like $560.00 and then just recently sent it out to have it Jet Hot coated ceramic coated silver (shiney). That was another $150.00. I have about 2000 total miles on it. And about 900 since the coating. I gotta get $375.00 plus shipping or I'll keep it. Its mint.
