I just got my XB12 last week (with no service manual) and Im still getting to know the bike....I have a brake pulsation from high speeds but according to a post I read the other night I think I might solve that problem with brake cleaner, but considering my pads are low, what should I use? Also my engine seems louder than my exhaust especially when it warms up almost like its low on oil, I know its a V-Twin but is that normal? Finally do I check the oil with the bike upright or on the kickstand?

With XBs, brake pulsation usually = a loose steering head bearing.

I was very surprised at how critical clean rotor and rotor hardware was with stock pads. I also had to retorque my steering head cap bolt pulsations are much decreased now.

If your exhaust is stock the engine will be louder.

Check oil while it is hot. The bike should be on level ground resting ON ITS KICK STAND.

Sorry for the caps, I forgot how to do bold type : )

On Edit: I know Mobuellin already mentioned that but I felt it was important enough to repeat : )

I'd get a service manual from the dealer. It will be the best investment you ever made for your bike.

You could get an owner's manual from the dealer as well and I believe you can look up most of it on the Buell website.

I personally prefer having a hard copy laying around for me to view.

Here's a link to the 05 manual online. Most things are the same.

For pulsing brakes dump the original pads and get sintered ones instead, rub the brake disc clean before you run in the sintered ones.

Original pads leave bluish crap on the disc making it pulse.
