6 hours from Fort Drum, NY to Lowell, MA. I did this trip about 5 times last summer when I was still in the Army and was pretty worn out from it. Now I go from Saint Albans, VT to Lowell, MA which is 3 hours and about 220 miles with no problems once a month usually.

On my first ride off of surface streets, I rode from Ft Irwin, Ca to Willow Springs Speedway in Rosamond, CA. It's about 130 each direction and I did it one day. I know it's nowhere close to some of you but after all, it was my first ride off of surface streets. I have an '03 XB9S with 1050 race kit and stock seat. I'm 5'8 215 and needless to say, I ordered the select seat and should get it today. I plan on taking a longer ride next month. I'm going on leave and am headed up near Stockton,Ca. I'll be there for about two weeks. I love this site and would like to link up with a few of you just to ride some time. Oh, almost forgot, I'm headed to Las Vegas this Thurs and headed back Fri or Sat. That is about 180 miles one way.

06 CityX - 5 weeks, 5000km total.
longest single run was 400 miles on saturday - none of which was superslab, and 40-50 miles was forest service road. left home at 7:00 am, got back at 6:30 pm...longest stop was maybe 20 minutes fuelling up, and swapping stories with co-riders. ( or maybe 20 minutes on the Galena/shelter bay ferry?)

......I was up at 6:30 sunday, out riding early while it was still cool: very, VERY happy with the comfort level on the CityX
