I need do my own service work on my XB12R.
Suggestions on which stands to get for lifting the front, rear and removing the wheels greatly needed.

Front one needs to be so I can remove the front forks.

Na I think there more like 150-170 each.
with Daves UB3R 10% I think I paid less than 300 for both.
Could always go with one of the universal jobbies, but I have no experience with them so I don't even know if they'd fit an XB.

Vortex makes some nice stands as well, but I'd buy the pitbulls from DaveS.

If you buy them elsewhere you need to get the WIDE rear stand. The standard rear stand
is too narrow for the XB swingarm.

the Lockhart Phillips universal stands will work, but are not as nice as the pitbulls.

I recommend getting the front stand that lifts from under the triple clamps. They
are more stable and offer the option of removing the fork tubes for service.

Also never try to use the front stand without the rear already in place.

i got these
http://www.powerstands.com

black mark - convertible for triple tree and fork use

valentino max - the handle goes forward instead of behind bike, and convertible to spool or swingarm use - yes its adjustable to fit my buell (important to me to have the handle go foward for support/leverage and fear of dropping it)

they have a racer package for $200 shipped for BOTH, however, you've gotta fax them your race license. for that money, they cant be beat. for their regular price, pit bull and woodcraft are more "tried and true" options.

ask me at the end of the year how i like them though, they're brand new, and unfortunately, i wont be on the bike again til august : (
