OK, I have a PitBull rear stand and it does not fit my '03 XB9S. The XB swingarm is too wide. I thought about Dark Horse slider/spool set up and reversing the spool arms on the stand. Anyone else come up with a solution? I have both the spool and non-spool attachments for the stand.

PitBull makes a wide stand for the XB. You have to specify the wide stand.

I do not recommend trying to bodge something up to make it fit.

The bike is worth far more than the stand. Keep perspective on what you are risking.

You need to get in contact with Dave S. @ HD/Buell of Appleton, WI. He is the unofficial "CEO of Buell Customer Relations". (920)757-1651. He can get the correct stand for you and ask him for the BadWeb price. Hope this helps.

Dave, do you have the forward ones (for the rear)? I have limited space in my garage (haha, aka shed), so the traditional one wouldn't allow me to shut the doors with it on the stand : (

Will the Wide version of the pit bull stand fit the even wider swingarms found on the 2006 models?

Make sure you've tried all the ways the stand goes together. The way mine was assembled it wouldn't spread far enough. It was only about half an inch short. I had to flip the L-brackets so they point up.

It's a forward-lever stand set up for spools. I'm using using it with the dark horse axle-sliders.

Yeah, I've tried all sorts of arrangements. I used a bunch of foam tape at one point to protect the finish, but I did not like it (I bought the stand for the previous RC51, SV650, CBR600RR, ZRX1100, etc.) I think the spools and reversed spool brackets will work. The spool/sliders don't hurt anyway. If the spool attachment with the sliders works, I will do that. Cheaper than a new stand and I would like to own the spools anyway. Thanks all and ride safe.

I originally received the narrower Pitbull stand for my XB and I called Pitbull directly and they sent me out another - FREE of charge and they even let me keep the old stand.
