Hokaaayy..

I've bought 2 at Glendale from Ernie Snair BEFORE they sponsored us as racers.

(so, see Ernie there - give him a call or stop in) http://www.glendaleharley.com

Not many places you can buy a bike and then go RACING with the sales dude or the General Manager.

They race AND service the bikes.

Once in a while they'll have some there on consignment and used - though the XB-types usally only last a week.

Try recycler.com or cycletrader.com for other used in the area.

Stay in touch!

Also - come to Willow Springs for the major Buell ride in and watch the races on Sunday the 18th - you can meet, talk, learn LOADS of stuff about the bikes while there. Glendale, Bartels and San Diego are all there.

And me. Great price, easy to deal with... but no accessories on hand.

Glendale is the only shop in the basin that seems like a Buell dealer.

They have accessories there and a couple of guys race'em out of there.

Lbcalex,

Didn't mean you should race the bike!!! It's just that Glendale has a large staff who are totally into the Buells. It's a strong statement when the staff goes riding AND racing with their customers.

I got into racing after doing a bunch of track days.

I was still racing my streetbike until I crashed it in Turn 8, then I made it a race-only bike.

Mario - the GM - races his streetbike! Ernie has a couple different bikes he races AND he actually raced a restored XR750 in the AHRMA vintage races!!

Jim Chaconas, Patrick McGinley, Chris Matty, Chris Uetwiller, Tim Hurley - we all started as customers before we started racing.

Our BRAG group did a track day with about 28 Buellers showing up for the weekend! It's a nice sound with that many bikes on the track at one time (they gave us a special session for 10 minutes with our BRAG group all out together for photos)

We have a very active Buell/BRAG group and you'll get tons of support - whether you buy a bike from them or buy one used somewhere else or from a private party - doesn't matter.

Even if you decide on another bike - the important thing is that you RIDE and ENJOY it! You would still be welcome to come with us on our regular monthly rides.

Don`t forget to check EBAY or Cycle Trader for smoking deals. Sometimes Harley dealer just try to unload their Buells and you could save thousands, then just find a good dealer for service.

I paid $7800 for my XB12 bran spanking new!

I can tell you where NOT to buy or take any business whatsoever... Calfornia Harley in Lomita. Only one Buell mechanic on staff. Salesmen there regard Buells with disdain. Very little knowledge of the bikes themselves. I caught them lying to me as well. I got towed there when I got a flat on PCH and had them install a new tire and figured "what the heck they can change my oil too."

They charged me for it. Only changed the engine oil and not the primary case. These are 2 separate charges on the bill. I got home and stuck a probe in the primary inspection cover and the oil was black as it should be for 3,000 miles. So I drained the primary and guess what? The o-ring on the drain plug was shredded and there were metal shavings all over the magnet.

Now I do everything myself, and I won't ever go back to that store.
