got an 03' xb9s with jardine pipe and race ecm. Had the tps reset and supposivly mapped. I now have a power lag between 3-4k rpms and stumbles out. Talked to manch hd and they said the race ecu has its own map already done and all thats needed is tps reset. Should i look into the dynojet power commander and have another shop make a custom map for it (200$ for labor and 330$ for module)

Short answer... Not exactly...

The Jardine isn't known for it's mid-range punch exactly. It's a top end can. It should always have that "hole". From what I know it's just a characteristic of that pipe's design. A proper map will help for sure but I would wait for someone like Al from American Sport Bike or Daves from Appleton HD/B to generate a map for that combination (because it's reasonably common) and then go that route.

Also... Make sure you settle the AFV by riding at ~3500RPM in fifth on a highway for five minutes or so. If you are still having stumbling issues after that, I would suspect that the TPS was not set properly.

I assume you are running the race filter and have removed the snorkel?

a 04 and up 12 airbox lid for 34.95 will help take some of the dip away but as M1 says, the Jardine is not a midrange pipe.

If you have a jardine keep it singing if you know what I mean, its a good pipe if you like to rip all the time,and very light! I ditched my jardine for a drummer lets just say I am happy with the change!

Tonight i installed an open airbox kit. man did that thing run like garbage through the powerband for about hr and half. then all a sudden it seems that its gone away, not much of a hole anymore, quite a weird sound from airintake almost like knocking but not overly loud is this normal, its not loud enough that i would think its my motor.... Also thinking about putting in the jardine quiet core insert, any luck with these or have heard one... I dont want stock quiet, want the performance just not sure if its the best thing to do especially when im fighting with ecm crap.
