That is your best option Sheldonesbe, i have found on this site that prob only 20% of the members help you , and the rest want to have conflict After time you see who want to argue with you |

What is wrong with some of you? Can you seriously not ask for help without getting rude about it? The threads with people asking for help get answers. The "I hate my bike/Buells suck" threads turn into flamefests. Do you not see the difference? Read the posts to this thread from Sheldon. How many are asking for help? How many are mere complaining and bashing? Ask for help, get help. Whine and complain, get flamed. How hard is that to understand? |

Sheldon, You said Buell customer service took care of you. Why are you still ranting? There are people on here that work at the factory, and others that have close ties to Erik. Why would you choose to alienate these people when they could go to bat for you? Court in particular falls into that category. He has a way of getting things fixed. Lighten up a little bit. Things will get better, but you have to give them a chance. BTW a 3 week wait for any service is not unusual this time of year. Take your own advice and make the effort to go to a dealer that wants your business. There are many dealers still living in dream-land where people beat a path to their doors for H-D's. Their demographic is shrinking and they can no longer get away with this kind of attitude, at least not for much longer. The H-D market is nearing a market saturation point. Customer service will dictate who "lives" and who "dies" as far as dealerships are concerned. Sounds like your local dealership won't make the cut. I hope when these issues are resolved you fall back in love with your bike. |

Seems to me that you cant participate on this forum unless you display 100% brand loyalty, never mind what the issues at hand are. Brand loyalty has to be earned and I think its reasonable for Sheldon to vent negatives if thats what his bike is dealing him!....how hard is that to understand? |

Hey, everybody vents occasionally, that's expected, however it shouldn't be your only means of communication. It gets old really fast. |

thanks brian... i just gave the delete notice of my profile and all my posts to the custodian... i will deal with only with kate @ buell customer service from now on with any issues i have... as for a dealer other than the one that has poor customer service in jackson mississippi?... i have been calling around for buell service all over the place... they all dropped buell except one place i found in alabama! so that is a reason why i have not seen a single buell on the road anywhere here! i am a needle in a haystack! |

i didn't start with the negative remarks... i made a complaint and i got fired opon... i was just defending my opinion and my negative experiences... so it seems not only the bikes have attitude so do the riders... |

It seems that Sheldon's Buell issues are not uncommon. How many times have we all read about broken kickstand bolts, leaky oil coolers, broken belts, primary sprocket torque specs and so on ? My 03 xb9s with 6500 miles has not had any issues since I have owned it, knock on wood ! Good luck Sheldon, I can see why your bummed out. |

Vent negative, get negative response. I hate to make it personal, but you have to be dense if you can't understand that. The brand loyalty claim is tiring too. It comes up every time someone doesn't get away with bashing the brand. Help is received when it is asked for. See this thread for evidence. |

i got my help and it was not from this site at all! the only thing i got from this web site was stress from a bunch of rude XB owners... read my first posts!!! i was very casual about my venting skills until the dogs came out and started chewing on my experiences... i am a very expressive person (i am a musician and an artist) that is the main reason for my buell xb9sx purchase over all the other sportbikes that all look and sound the same to me... so this bike pissed me off... big deal! i am over it... i just feel that i need let the world know of these bad situations for future references... |

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! I AM DONE! i guess the gimmicky style sold me on the bike in 1st place... you can have it back Harley Davidson! And you call this casual? Nothing against you and your problems, but it was a bit of tough opener. I do realize you were venting though and some others here may have looked at it as a straight out trolling effort...it wouldn't be the first time. I've had mine for 3 yrs with little to no issues so I can't really relate to your pain. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with your XB. |

Well, as I was on my way back from PT I thought about mentioning you call customer service. It's good to see you did and got things set straight. Good luck with what you do man. |

Sheldon...I'm over my bike and hopefully you will be too...that will leave Spike et al to overly protect that wonderful, inventive and forward thinking brand that is Buell, with their shields of steel! Dense I may be but I still have the ability to see that something might not be that good just because I've got one! |

Great to see after ranting about what a piece-o-crap Buell and Buell dealers are and how nobody here cares about you and your not getting the "respect" you deserve that you finally decided to make a phone call to customer service and low and behold you find they'll take care of everything! |

Sheldon; I just spent the past few minutes reading through this thread. You may be a musical artist, or an artistic musician, but you have no sense of tact whatsoever. If you're looking for sympathy, I suggest you look in the dictionary between shit and syphilis. |

too bad customer service is not open 24 hours or i would have talked to them as soon as i got home from work last night and probably not said anything about it on this website. how many times do i have to say i am not looking for sympathy or help? just giving people a heads up and venting a bit... hey now you guys are taking things a little bit too far!!! ha ha ha... i am so over this little game you guys are playing... ok i have learned my lesson... SSSHHHHHH!!!!! DON'T TALK ABOUT ANY PROBLEMS WITH A BUELL PRODUCT TO OTHER BUELL OWNERS THEY WILL TELL YOU THE ONLY PROBLEM IS YOURSELF! to be honest i am now extremely embarrassed i have had anything in common with people like you! my buell will be getting fixed and sold very soon since its probably the only personally owned one for sale for about 300 miles... i am going to up grade to a gsx-r 1000 see you guys in the rearview...

Not a blast, but for a bike you yourself refer to as a lemon $3k is generous. Unless you intend to to be less than forthcoming when you sell it. Actually resale will have you in the 6-7.5k range. Unless you get someone that HAS to have it. (Message edited by diablobrian on April 26, 2006) |

quote:(6) today i herd a rattle from my bike so i pulled over for inspection... found out that one of the engine bolts that holds my header pipe on snapped off the engine and the other bolts nut was coming loose!
Are you telling us ALL the facts? Didn't you say that you were riding without a muffler for a while? The stress caused by this is probably the root of this problem. Please, dont look at this as a flame, but dont poo poo on Buell without stating ALL the facts. As was stated on here before, if people are tactfull and ask for help, people are more than happy to help. People that come on ranting and saying that everything is crap generally dont get verry far. Sorry dude, If you come up with any qutestions, you know how to reach me. I will be more than happy to help you out. |

Ok I have read every post... And Honestly I am offended that you are so Bold to say that we (BWB) gave you crap. So you are saying that you can dish but can't take? Well I hope you get all the money you want for your bike, and I hope in turn the bike goes to someone that will enjoy it as much as you were hoping to enjoy it. Since I am adding to this thread you can add Rude Tube Frame owners to your list, cause I don't own a XB I own an X1 and LETS COMPARE PROBLEMS from Xb to Tubers. I have problems here and there BUT I LOVE MY BIKE! I don't rag on it, I ride it. I enjoy my bike. I hope your new purchase will satisfy you if not.. buy a Yugo.... |

I also read every thread, and the guy may have been trashing his bike, but he NEVER trashed any of you until YOU attacked HIM! Like I said, I bunch of 6th graders on here. So dim that their blind loyalty to their brand is all they have going for them! The epitome of a closed mind. |
