Well, I finally registered on badweb today after ready nearly every post for the last 4 months. I picked up a 06 XB12Ss last January and have ridden it every time the sun was out since, and loved every second of it. When I wasn't ridding, I was on here soaking up as much about buells as I could stand. The XB really gives you the sense of being alive, and I have to say that buell owners are really great people and I am proud to be one of you! I finally decided to register today because I reached my 800 mile mark, and complete the first oil change, adjusted the primary and did a once over of the whole bike, and I am happy! No leaks, no loose bolts, and everything looks to be in right where it should. Other than the odd noises that the bike makes (which I have come to love) nothing seems out of place except a little burp in the power I get every once in awhile at about 3k rpm in any gear. The bike will lurch whenever it happens, anyone had this happen? It is to infrequent to take to the dealer, and it only happens at constant speeds. Should I be worried yet? Other than this one item, the bike is great and absolutely great to ride. I look forward to reading everyones posts, updates and info in the future! -C4Bird |

Saw a few posts by some others on that same misbehavior. Don't recall what the concensus was or if there was one. Welcome to the asylum! |

C4bird I love my 06XB12Ss (long), Ya Baby! A great ride, handling is superb and just riding around town is great with its low end tork is awesome. My only problem that its only has around 280 mile and its been at the dealers for the past 2 1/2 weeks for a problem that they can fix. Other than that it been fun. Keep on riding and enjoy. |

Thanks Blake/Bigbuell! The one chance I have had it in the twisties was absolutely awesome! I sure hope the burp doesn't turn into an issue. I am not sure about my dealer as of yet, I hope they aren't the typical Harley Mechanics. Since I plan on doing all my own service/maintenance, unless it has warranty issues I hope I will never have to find out. It is a bummer deal you've had to go through Bigbuell, hope they get it this time. |
