Howdy All,

I had the seat removed on my XB9R and I found an odd mark on one of the frame welds (aluminum members). Part of the weld was circled with what looked like either a grease pencil or an indelible marker and an arrow was drawn on the frame pointing to that mark.

Is this an inspection point from the factory? Do they X-Ray welds?

Thanks,
Cheese

Get a pic of it and post it up. I think I know what it is.

Sounds like quality control to me.

It's nothing to worry about. I used to be into custom cars. The concourse guys had books of correct markings for the various vehicles. Even down to the colors and locations of paint markings (like an X or an initial)they used on the production lines of each manufacturer for different time periods to denote this or that bolt had been torqued. That is insane in MY book.

Thanks all,

I have to replace my digital camera at some point, so pics are out of the question right now. I appreciate the feedback and I am relieved that it isn't the mark of the beast (aka a frame crack).
