That is the reason I didn't buy the race muffler, not offered in flat black. BTW, what is wrong with jet hot? Are you saying that jet hot is spray paint?

Jet-Hot is not a paint it's a specialized coating. I have used it myself in the past and it is awesome. Looks great and is very durable.

Is jet-hot a product I can coat my muff. by my self or must I send it to them to get the job done?

I have the Racer muffler on my bike. It was sprayed with High-temp ceramic paint, about 8 layers, and then baked on. It looks just like stock and has held up perfectly for ~5K miles. It looks great. I have a few pics at the end of the XB Pics thread.

What was the actual paint product you used? I have some other bikes that could use an exhaust refresh but I'm not going to Jet-Hot them.

^ Just some spray can, high temp enamel paint. For grills and engines. Just get flat black.
