Hey, been lurking around the board for about a month. Bought my XB9S 2 weeks ago. I just figured out that it is a low from a recent post, and not quite sure how i feel about it yet. I haven't put the bike completely through it's paces, but i read that if you're a kneedragger you may notice that it's not quite as capable as a standard. I bought this bike because here in South Florida there aren't as many good roads as there are in north florida, where i used to live. Up there i had a modified 2001 yamaha R1, and back in those days i've scraped peg(not feelers, peg.) on the street. I'm not as in to that anymore, but i'd still like as much cornering capability as this bike can give me. Anyway, I'm posting to see if anyone on this board is in South Florida and may be interested in a swap. Comments? Anyone interested?

I bought my XB9SL new in June of 2003 and frankly I don't think I'm missing out on anything. I've dragged pegs a few times but not a knee. The bike's ability far out classes my riding ability. I'm 5'9" and 180 myself and am very comfortable on the bike. Ride it like ya stole it and have fun!

Chad,
Cornering clearance is the same at full suspension compression on your SL as it is for an S. The suspension travel is about an inch less is all so the springs are a little firmer to compensate.

didn't realize the cornering clearance was the same. Thanks Blake, that's good info. And thanks for the welcome.
