Seems that Buell might be inspiring others to create their own "Sport Adventure" bikes--this pic is of a Ducati "Hypermotard" concept shown at the Milan show...

Although I always liked Ducati, I am thinking of trading in to get a Uly for myself. The Duc's a way to maintenance intensive for me, but I like the high pipe.

Didn't get a chance to meet up for a ride this summer Geoff, let me know when you are on your way through again, I owe you a meal.

Hypermotard

This bike looks sweet!
I was hoping Buell would have released a bike like this rather than the Uly.
I guess I will have to wait.

Nice bike!!!

But I don't like the price of a Ducati and the high maintenance $$$

But it's really a nice looking bike!

Kootenay,Ducati already had a Sport-Adventure bike,it's called a Multistrada.Buell did not come up with the ideal.

Thepup, I thought the Multistrada (which I like, BTW) was designed more for the road, maybe rough pavement or a bit of gravel, but not quite as offroad oriented as the Uly or the Hypermotard--is see these two as being more directly in competition.

Oh,and Bake--definitely, I wanna get up there for a ride with ya. I never got closer than Nakusp...somehow, every time I went up there, I ended up heading for Fauqier and on to Vernon...

This bike is closer to a KTM,the Uly is in direct competition with the Multi.I doubt the Duc will have luggage for touring. This is no way comparable to the Uly.
