It seems like there are getting to be a lot of Buell forums. The badweb seems to draw the biggest group and Sport Twin next. I do not know if there are enough Buell riders to support all these forums. I also think that the other forums should not let the Aussie Buell Riders join in on their forums. They clearly do not want any americans on their forum. |

You'll never guess where the IP of "Acid_burn" originates. Drum roll please... Sydney, Australia. Go away deviltubepod man! You are not welcome here. You have attempted malevolent acts against this board trying to to crack it; you have threatened me with lawsuits, harrassed me via email, and you have masqueraded as no less than five different users. You have repeatedly violated the BadWeB user policy to which you have agreed each and every time you registered for a new username. You are not welcome here. Now you are here promoting another Buell site on BadWeB? Please go away deviltubehuckster, and never return. |

Blake, you missed one on the Quick Board. MtnRider, Sport Twin has a problem with FireFox. It can't set cookies. You had problems with that? DBird |

Didn't realise that the quality of a website or it's content was measured by whether or not anything other than "pro American" opinions were expressed therein....whatever happened to Freedom of Speech. |

Nothing. Would you consider that your free expression in opposition to the opinions above is infringing upon their freedom of expression? I wouldn't. Are we or are we not free to express our disdain for the dishonorable huckster who seeks to once again perpetrate his ongoing campaing of self-serving promotion here on BadWeB. Are we not? Or would you seek to curtail OUR right to free expression? Hope that gives you something to ponder. But for the record, BadWeB is not a public square or anarchist newsletter where anyone is free to express anything and everything their heart desires. We have a clear policy which limits expression here to only family oriented content and absolutely prohibits non-sponsor marketing. Cool? |

Way to go Blake, call me naive but I thought this was about sharing the joys of the Buell in a family manner. As for this guy must be pretty thick not to have gotten the message!!!! It was my understanding that Blake holds the responsibility of being the "Keeper" of this site, to ensure we do not have to deal with unnecessary garbage. And by the sounds of things that is just what he is doing. There is good and bad in every nationality that is just human nature, and I think it is pretty poor if I was to be judged on this person's actions just because I am Australian. Feel sad that anyone would not like share my love for Buells just because I am Australian, or even worse that I would not be able to share with them because they were American. I can only agree with Blake GO AWAY YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!!!!! Bindy |

As for this guy must be pretty thick not to have gotten the message!!!! I tried for at least a month with this guy (back when he first started try to sell his products here) to do the right thing. Polite as I was (honestly polite) he had nothing to say other than he'd do as he pleases, and for the life of me I couldn't get him to understand the right way of doing things. I'd be willing to bet, if he took all the energy he's spent trying to break the BadWeB, invent his own BadWeB, bash BadWeB ect, and convert it to money, he'd be a life time sponsor... Some people just don't get it. I think it is pretty poor if I was to be judged on this person's actions just because I am Australian. No chance of that. One must really try, and try often to get the special treatment this fella gets. |

I think it is pretty poor if I was to be judged on this person's actions just because I am Australian. No worries Bindy We met "good" Aussies before any ill opinions could have been formed based on the huckster's behavior. Like you said (paraphrasing) it'd be wrong to stereotype an entire nation based on the behavior of one person. Henrik |

There is no "free speech" on this or any other privately owned forums. The rules are made by the owner and you either abide or get. I have no issue with that and Blake runs a nice ship IMHO. I own a forum and model my rules and moderator duties much after BADWEB. Thanks Blake! |

Good. The right to express an opinion contrary to another's is.................Freedom of Speech. I never said anything about anyone being not free to express an opinion..........quite the opposite in fact. I never sought to curtail anyone's right of expression.....quite the opposite in fact. Your trite remark about giving me "something to ponder" is exactly that....trite. I never suggested that BadWeb was "an anarchist newsletter" or a "public square". Of course participants in this (or any) forum should respect the rules of the forum and of common decency. This excellent forum is about motorcycles and the fact that an opinion, properly expressed here or elsewhere, may be construed as anti American (or pro American for that matter) is not an objective basis for criticism.....assuming of course that the principle of Freedom of Speech applies here. All I was trying to say is that you can sanction the guy for having broken the forum rules or having done the membership a deliberate dis-service, but it is not right to suggest that anyone should be sanctioned for expressing an opinion, or in this case appearing to express an opinion, which could be considered anti American. |

"an opinion, properly expressed here or elsewhere, may be construed as anti American (or pro American for that matter) is not an objective basis for criticism" Well, if you happen to be an American, it darn sure could be "construed" that way !!! You wouldn't happen to be "trolling" for some anti-American sentiment would you ??? You've brought it up twice now and I for one can see absolutely no reason why ??? EE |

So your saying that if you happen to be an American your only objective basis for assessing the merit of another person's opinion is dependant on whether you consider that opinion (or person) to be pro or anti American? I think that is to insult the vast majority of Americans. I wouldn't Read the (entire) thread |

Surv, "So your saying that if you happen to be an American your only objective basis for assessing the merit of another person's opinion is dependant on whether you consider that opinion (or person) to be pro or anti American? I think that is to insult the vast majority of Americans. " You are trolling aren't you ??? And, NO, that's not what I'm saying !!! You don't have a clue what is or isn't an insult to the vast majority of Americans, so stop assuming you know what Americans think. It's quite obvious we have "thicker" skins than some of you from the "old country". This website is about motorcycles - NOT about your obvious "annoyance" of the "colonials" and what you "perceive" they think of the rest of the world. E |

Good grief ladies. Cease the personal commentaries here. Overgeneralization and indignant counterpoints waged on a personal level have no place here. Oops. Hey Surveyor, add your username to the BadWeB stick-pin map? My loving Mother and her sister, my Aunt, visited your fine country just a few years ago. They had a fine time and absolutely thought it was grand. |

Blake, Point taken. thanks for your comments........but I can top 'em...in June 2002 I rode 4500miles from San Francisco via Georgia, the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway and Shenendoah to DC in 9 days.....best nine days of my life.....despite the lack of Guinness. |

I think I talked to more foreigners while traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway than I did Americans. Probably on account of I was camping along the way. Just missed you. I did the BRP in 2000 and 2001. It is indeed a great ride. One of my all-time favorites. If you check out my "NY to Texas via BRP" thread in the Tale Section, you might enjoy seeing some familiar sights. |

Pity about the speed limit on the BRP but what a road. The BRP is only the link to other great roads less traveled, many only known by locals, I enjoy being a native of Western North Carolina. |
