Ok here's the deal, I have an '03 XB9S with a little over 10k miles. It has never had any problems and is completely stock except of a K&N filter. My question is, what could I look at getting for this bike? Trade or selling it outright? I tried e-baying the thing and it didn't go so well. I would like to upgrade but don't want to be without a bike for too long, as I use this thing daily to get to class. Just looking for some opinions on how much these bikes usually go for. Thanks for any info.

I have no idea what you're looking to get out of it, but here's a reference point for ya: I bought an '03 XB9S from a Buell dealer with 137 miles on it this past April, yes 6 months ago. I paid $6K and they threw in 24 months worth of extended warranty.

The only thing they added was my state's sales tax.

I am hoping I can get 4500 for it. I just don't know because it seems like no one wants these things, especially with over 10,000 miles on it. Thanks for the input though Mrvvrroomm.

I bought my 9s in March with 2k on it for $6k. It now has 12k on it and I wouldn't expect to get too close to $4k. That's just the nature of the beast when you buy toys and use the hell out of them. But I never sell anything, either. I just drive them until they evaporate.

Upgrade as in XB12?
Just trade it in, Daves may make it worth your while to make a road trip.
I love my XB9S, wouldn't think of getting rid of it.
So far I've had no troubles keeping up/in front of other bikes. Except maybe in a drag race, but then again I don't drag race.
Twisties for me!

I got 4500 for a 5000 mile 2003 ,paid 7300 for it two years ago, i thought that was fair ,I couldn't be bothered to go the Ebay / personal sale route.

I'm not sure about going with another buell or not. This one has been extreamly reliable, but I just don't like the direction Buell is heading (ie the uly). Also the local dealer in lubbock doesn't mess with buells and Tripp's in Amarillo no longer sells them either. I tried trading the bike in Amarillo and they wouldn't even consider it, because they said they wouldn't be able to sell it, and that no one wanted the things. So I'm really screwed if I ever need major service, because I have no local dealers that will even mess with buells. I'm just wanted to get a general price idea, I proly won't get rid of it until the spring. By that time I should be able to turn around and get another bike right out of the box. Thanks for the info guys.
