I have been interested in a new XB for some time and just came across a local car dealer that has a bone stock 2004 xb12R with 1300 miles.

They have had it for about 2 months and now that is is beginning to get colder I know they are not wanting it hold on to it through the winter.

I was wanting to know what a good deal would be. It is red with amber accents.

Thanks, I have looked at the retail values think they can be misleading. I also looked at completeds on ebay to get an idea, just thought the pros on badweb would relay some prices that they have seen or even bought at.

I bought my 04 XB12R new in July of 04 for $8,900, and then I paid for the super stud warranty. I think I basically paid close to MSRP after it was all said and done, but I have a lot more piece of mind than if I would have just gotten a good deal. I beat the crap out of bikes, so I thought the 5 year unlimited mileage warranty is probably a good idea. I don't know if that helps, but that's all I've got.

I am not for sure but I am thinking that I may be able to get it for around 5000-5500. I will know more when the salesman gets back to me.

Sounds like a good price to me. Maybe you can get him to knock off some more if you let him sweat a little longer.

I bought mine at the local Harley dealer (who does not carry Buells) who had taken it as a trade in and had it sit on his lot for about 4 months. He was ready to make a deal.
