Just wanted to say hi to the board. This is my first V-twin and I love it so far. My wife bought it for me on my Birthday to replace my streetfighter Bandit 1200. What a different machine! Still breaking it in, but I love the handling and the quiet/smooth belt drive. The gel seat is also very comfy. I can't compare it to other XB's, but a couple guys I met out noticed the differences right off. It does look bigger, but for me it's a perfect fit. Might loose the grater(it's not horrible), and switch to a Drummer w/ Techlusion/ecm/filter after it's broken in. Also, does anyone know of a aluminum handlebar that's identical, or close to stock dimensions...black or titanium color preferred. Nice forum and thanks for the space!

Hey Tommy, I did the same thing. Traded in my Bandit 1200 on a XB12S. Only diff is my wife is pissed. Has not talked much to me sense Sunday. I find the Buell much smaller and lighter. I love it also. Getting a Corbin seat from Al and a Heat Shield from Odie. Probally will get a pipe from Odie when the time comes. Enjoy the ride. I enjoy mine while I look for another place to live ; )

Does your wife want to buy me a new XB12SS? Sunset orange (red), please.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Cajun, I here ya. It's taken 6 years of marriage to get to this point. She's a good girl though.

Pa, where's Berwick? I'm from Allentown originally. Now that I ride, I definitely miss the PA roads, well, let's reword that to PA topography...

Any experience with the TFI/KN/Drummer combo I'm considering? I've had one person say keep the stock ecm, and another say the race ecm on top would be even better? Just wondering. May have to repost this one...

Tommy_k -

Berwick is near Bloomsburg. Take the PA turnpike (northeast extension) north from Allentown. Then take 80 west for about 25 miles. I grew up in Mertztown and Topton, and then came up here for college. My girlfriend is from Allentown. And you are right, these Pennsylvania roads are great. Hills and turns everywhere...

I just bought a Drummer, K&N, and the race ECM. They are being installed on September 13, so I don't know which is better yet.
