I washed my bike and noticed what appears to be some spots in the clear coat on my front wheel. Are the wheels clear coated? Has anyone else experienced this? I used Mcguire's Metal Restorer and it didn't seem to remove much of the spots...any suggestions? I had a set of wheels on my truck that did this and over time they ended up looking like crap...Any advise would be much appreciated

My 9R wheels do not appear to be clear coated. I second the use of mothers polish. I use it on the wheels and all the polished parts on my bike.

after the mothers polish (great for "roughing it in"; ) I use Flitz metal polish to finish the job off. It really gives a super high gloss and has a protectant in it that makes the shine last. So you can spend more time riding than polishing.

Then I waxed them with some Turtle wax paste.
