I totally echo what Sinatra was saying. The HD dealership here in Reno is a bunch of jackasses. I have only met two of the guys that were remotely friendly. Even the parts manager, who rides a Buell i might add, is a total dips$it!

Harley Dealers would almost keep me from owning a Buell again. Darn shame it is.

To quote Jesse James:

"Harley's are cool ... if you're a dork"

Hmmm... That "defective" pair of pucks can probably be exchanged. The adhesive seems to me to be some very good stuff. You will need to clean and dry the tack before you apply them...

I have watched the pucks work from 8' away and they work well. Very well compared to other solutions that look like they would almost certainly CAUSE damage and prevent none.

As a matter of fact... EVERY puck that I've heard of that's been tested has held up well and prevented serious damage.

Those frames are EXPENSIVE. Protect them with pucks.

Do it.

Those pucks are like condoms. You may not need them, but just in case.....

"Harley's are cool ... if you're a dork"

I think it was closer to "Harleys are some guys dream bikes...I think they're dorks". Alluding to conformity of the masses. (Not like riding a raked out custom sets you apart from the crowd anymore.)

I laughed when I heard JJ say that. He is entitled to his opinion. Of course I think guys that buy $60,000 Jesse James custom bikes to bar hop and pose on are dorks! that said, I wish I had $61,800 to buy a Confederate Hellcat, so I could bar hop and look cool too

But riding a Buell puts you in a club where non members look at you and ask

What the hell is that?

Thanks guys for the info on the pucks. I went out on the freeway tonight for a 55-110mph blast exercising the engine and hoped the pucks I received would have worked out. I think the same as you that they are not only safe and prevent damage but look good on the bike and add a little protection from the wind too boot! I'll return them and start over again. Only one puck was deformed the other was fine but I had to pop them both off to return them so back to the drawing board.

Dcentric-

I made the pipes myself. I don't know if it's louder than the Becin, I've never heard one in person, but mine lacks any baffling whatsoever.

I did restrict the size of the pipes down to the same as the header pipes to give a little back pressure and help the power down low. Seems to run well, and the sound is, well, um, retarded loud as stated earlier.

I can help anyone who is interested in a similar setup.
