Has anyone converted or mounted the Lightning detachable Saddlebags and Trunk Bag on a XB? Looks like the pillion cover gets in the way on the XB, and the rear tail frame section is probably different. I'm single up, and I wouldn't ask anyone but Trinity to sit on the XB pillion, not that she would sit in the back, and I don't think I'll meet her, so I'd like to put it on my XB if it can be done. I keep posting about converting my XB to some sort of ST, and that is true. You should see my thoughts on a riser system for the HELI bar! |

Hey Tele, you're askin the question I've been wanting to ask (threadthief ). I was going to buy that big new S tailbag and then try to get it to plug into my R saddlebags. It looks like it uses some fastex-style buckles. Tough part is finding a source for some sew-on female buckles, or else I'd have done it already, cuz the R tailbag is about big enough to hold a stick of gum. Trident. -NadZ |

I've got the new saddle- and trunk bags on my 12S and they fit just right. Haven't seen them mounted on an R yet. The different tail sections may very well cause a problem. |

Camping stores often have fastex buckles and strap material. |
