There's been one thread here that mentions PCIII for XB9R: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/101030.html

The same thread mentions that there has been no PCIII specifically made for XB9R. But doing some search and speaking with motordepot.com, reveals that KN in fact made PCIII for XB9R. The model number is 808-211. Anyone here used this particular model? All I've been reading is people using PCIII 803-211 for X1.

Isn't the "X1" model a PCII?

I spoke to K&N about this and it seems they allocate a part number to a new bike as soon as the bike is released. Unfortunately it doesn't mean that they will ever produce the PC to fit that bike. Apparently they thought that there wouldn't be any demand for the XB version.

So it seems KN did not actually produce the unit. That makes sense as no one seem to have one.

I have several K&N branded X1 power commanders in stock, part number 83803-211. The labeling is really quite amusing. Some labels say PCII, some say PCIII. From all I've been told, they truly are PCIII and the labeling never caught up with the reality of the units being shipped.

These were not produced for the XB's, but lots of people have put them on XB's successfully. You absolutely need the 4 wire O2 sensor for it to work properly.

Tat had assigned an internal number for the XB9R PCIII, and it had a Dynojet part number assigned as well, 808-211. But he told me when I bought the biz that Dynojet had pulled the plug on the product prior to producing any.
