Buddie I said that to get your goat.
And it worked.

Man you ain't even got a clue what talent it
really takes to run a prototype and custom
CNC machine shop. The machines I use cost
more than the house you live in. If I decided to
make a stack it would work, and I'd have real
testing to prove it. A product that simple could be made in
minutes on my CNC lathe And I wouldn't need to
lie and cheat to sale them.

Are you just trying to make you some new enemies.
The guys your are playing with are big boys, and some
of us belong to the power MC groups which you really
need to stay on their good side.

Now its threats? This just keeps getting more bizarre.
its just a bike part geez, get over it.

Now im lying and cheating to sell these things? What are you talking about?

All im saying is here is a part that i developed and it works. Others here have tried my theories and are happy with results. Thats it, what is the issue, where are the lies?, what is the cheat?
Like i said if people dont like it they can send it back, how much more of a guarantee can i give?

Like i said i ride with the people i sell too, how do you cheat and lie to people you sell to if you see them every other weekend.

Whats the big deal??

I will say it again its available, it cost$140 AUD, if you dont like the performance then you can send it back.

Done!

Aussie_buell_riderz,

I have always felt that people should be able to advertise Buell type products without having to pay for it. I mean after all, I believe the main intent of this site is to gather all the Buell info you can into one area. I also understnd the need for admins to control the board so us readers are not bombarded by adds for junk. So where is the happy middle ground?

I see that on your website you also charge money for advertising space. I guess I would be curious to your reaction if all of the sponsers here flooded your site with threads advertising products and not paying for your banner space?

We do charge a fee for advertising, a minimal one for site related costs to be covered, but yes we certainly do charge (no doubt)

However, talk about products is not frowned upon especially if it is a new product not seen before. I am of the opinion that forums are for developing products, solving problems, meeting people and so on.

The day that the forum is controlled by the sponsors, and those that are not sponsors are censored is the day the forum loses it true ability to inform. If you are only ever given information about sponsors product then how do you know you are (A) getting the best product (B) getting good value?

If a product is good value and is a performance gain then in the end it will beat all others hands down.

Anyway, Badweb has been more than accomodating of this thread. In addition i am not sure that our particular item is covered by any sponsors other than hillbilly, who i dont think sell intakes seperatlely so that may be a factor.

Maybe Badweb will contact me in regards to this issue of sponsorship?

"BTW im not sure who deleted my posts..."
Uh, hey there sparky, I'm pretty sure I know who did. Might want to take a look at them, on account of the editor of any post is recorded and displayed for all to see...

Might want to take notice of that little notation on each of your posts where the contents have been deleted? It says...

"...and all this other crap about me being peel and now beau not sure what the motive is there"

I'll clarify that for you then. The motive would be to defend the integrity of this discussion forum and community of Buell enthusiasts from disingenuous peddlers who blatantly defy the policy of the board, the exact same policy to which you agreed when registering here. See we rely on our sponsors to foot the bill to keep the place up and running. They ain't gonna foot the bill if people like you are allowed to ignore the no non-sponsor marketing/advertising rule. Feel free to post a single link in the "Links" main topic. But other than that you'll either need to apply for sponsorship or do the right and honorable thing and bow out apologetically and gracefully.

So you say that Paul Rogers is planning to travel over 800 miles to meet up with you for a ride? Perfect! Then you can make arrangements for him to obtain and test one of your intake stacks. What a great coincidence!

Wholly crap! You even managed to irritate Steve Slaughter. That's a first, on this little web forum anyway. LOL!!!

What have we BadWeBrs done? Probably not much. Argue some, talk Buell some, meet up some, ride some, race some, bullshit a LOT,... I'll leave the recounting of more specific stuff to folks who care to spend their time illuminating you. Or maybe you could take teh initiative and look around the board for yourself?

My suggestion would be that you take the high road, apologize for bursting in here trying to sell your intake in violation of the policy to which you agreed, then either accept my offer or not. Put up or shut up. Pick one. Enough of the BS!

Mike,
Ram air just doesn't do anything noticeable until speeds climb up well above 100+ mph. Of course removing an intake restriction will always help. But ram air won't. Rick_a educated me on that once. And I never forget a good lesson like that.

Ron,

Got any emails/orders yet for the HDVS (Home Depot Velocity Stack)? LOL!!! ROFLOL That's perfect! LOL!!!

Ken (Koz),
Who the hell is going to pay $600 annually or $100 on a month to month basis to sponsor a discussion board when they can advertise there for free??? Then, how will we pay the $6,000+/yr it now takes to maintain this site??? I'm all ears smart guy.

Let me clarify the issue. There is a difference between someone here posting about their personal experience or thoughts about a new product versus the manufacturer or retailer of said product coming here and laying down a slick sales pitch.

I'm confident that if you try you will come to comprehend the difference between those two VERY different scenarios.

One is Buell enthusiasts sharing ideas/information/experiences. The other is ADVERTISING!!!

YEAH!!! THIS IS A DAMN TOUCHY SUBJECT WITH ME ON ACCOUNT OF I AM CONSTANTLY HAVING TO DEAL WITH IT AND EXPLAIN IT ON ACCOUNT OF SOME JACKASSES FEEL ENTITLED TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT!!!

Hey Steve, you are rubbing off on me, DAMNIT!!! ; ) LOL!

James (Aussie),
Sorry, for the moment, you have been disqualified from consideration for sponsorship of this discussion forum. Put up or shut up.

Blake,

I agree with you, I know it costs money to run a website. I believe that advertisers should be gaurenteed that they are getting what they pay for, prime real estate to the consumer. I think the banners and sponsor section do a good job of that. I agree that the admin should have control over who is allowed to be a sponsor since it maintains the integity of the website.

I think one thing this site does very well is expose BS'ers for what they are. This thread is a perfect example.

I don't always agree with everything that happens here, but after the last two years (and 1226 posts) it is still the only forum I read on a daily basis. So I guess I would call it home. I am just always keeping my eyes open looking for the next new great thing.

" I put into the buell community what do you guys do? "

Punk ... Get a local education and then spout. I'd bet dimes to dollars that IF you're an engineer that your education in that field went about as well as the one you missed here...

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/4062/91000.html?1113599307

What exactly do you do for Buell again?

The way I see it is that your customers like to feel that they didn't waste their money. So they don't. It's that simple. Do you have any dyno's that show any improvements? Not that I care really... Your motivation is to sell parts. Neither your motivation or your fellow aussie dyno's mean anything to me. Therefor, you will need to send that part to a dyno room that we trust. We are a VERY large group of Buell riders. If you follow the rules (which for the lions share of us includes trusted dyno's), you will sell a lot of parts. If you don't, you'll sell a few parts.

Do you understand the concept called depth of vision?

James:

I fear your performanace data may be inaccurate.

Are you going to Port Macquarie in October?

If so, send one of your tubes to me and I'll give a 15 minute presentation to all present on EXACTLY what it does or does not do.

I read the advertising policy on the Aussie board and it's far more restrictive than that of Badweb.

If you'd like to keep this on top, hooray for you. Frankly, most folks here have been through this exercise before and have matured beyond it.

If you have real, we are naturally skeptical about "simulated dyno runs", data post it. If you have a product to sell, simply ante up, become a sponsor (you may have steepened your personal slope as you'll be asked to prove you have something of value, not snake oil, to sell) and sell away. Several folks who have started small, advertising here, have grown beyond their wildest expectations.

We do ask that you act like a civilized grown up (I know it doesn't come right out and say that, but it's just kinda inferred) regardless of whether you are just posting or being a sponsor.

Probably waisted words but here goes.

What I would do if I had invented or improved something that in my belief really worked, I wouldn't immediately talk about it and try to sell it. Instead, I'd send an item to a respectable and independent person qualified or proven to be able to test what I have and wait for his conclusion. Then, if it worked for him the same way, I would either become a sponsor of the site or contact a sponsor on the board to sell it for me. Then whenever another respectable shop requests to test it I'll send it to them. Just send it back when you're done or pay for it. Simple. If it really works, that way it will sell itself.

To me, the way you come on here makes me believe you're a scam. You lied and disregarded the sites' policy and even denied after it was pointed out to you. And you're not man enough to admit it and apologize for it. Now you expect us to buy your stuff? No wait, you don't care if you sell but you do want us to keep posting because every time we do you sell an item.

My 2 cents for what it's worth.

"like i said the longer this thread stays at the top the more i sell"

NOT bloody likely !!!

The more people that take the time to read this thread, the MORE who will stay away from your "phony" product.

Between the "phantom" editing of your posts, your disregard for the website's rules and ALL your BS about dyno sheets and etc, I'd suspect you might find an occasional "unsuspecting flounder" once in a great while.

Anyone with 1/2 a brain will avoid you and your product like the plague.

It's too late to "make nice", the damage is done, take it like a man.

I am totally with you. I own a Porsche Forum called 986forum.com. We have folks who want to advertise there for free and they are usually shocked when I tell them that our other sponsors might find that objectionable.

Keep up the good work. I love the board.

The reason the stack Aussie_Buell_Riderz has works in Australia is because the air velocity spins in the opposite direction, just like the toilet water. That’s why it doesn’t work on American Dyno’s and why Buell doesn’t make this mod to factory Buell’s

Ingemar, That's exactly what I did with my stack. Unfortunately mine posted no gain other than bling, & I stated so.

So there is a mathematical correlation between the stack and the toilet water?

Nooooooooooooow...I think I am understanding this.

P.S. - by the way, Steve Haynes' "non-performance imporiving" stack looked AWESOME and craftsmanship was evident. That appears to be the big differnece. These days..."non-performance-improving" ...what I refer to as "bling stacks" just ain't what they used to be.

While we're at it.

I am offering my secret up ONLY to Badwebbers. Using only 4 in each tank of gas got me to my first podium finish at Willow Springs.

Because I really love you all and ONLY want the best thing for my fellow Buellers, I have drastically reduced the price to what will ONLY cover my direct costs. Because this is a charitable service to my fellow Badwebbers, I am not violating any BADWEB policies. This is posted solely because it is of interest and CERTAINLY not for any profit motive.

I have predicted significant performance gains and will post dyno charts when I feel like it.

ONLY $12.76 a box. I accept PAYPAL. I am not restricting sales to one per customer like some offers you see on TV.

Hurry while supply lasts!

Note: Works equally well on Japanese, Italian, English, Korean - and even bikes from the Ural region of the formerly Communist Bloc.

Tests are underway on diesel engines.

Fast Pills

I usually stay out of these discussions BUT . .

Are we actually trying to out smart the
" BUELL ENGINEER " who designed the original stack. If I remember correctly it`s been tried before. And all we got were the same results as the original.

Granted there are ways of getting more power out of you scooter.

But i`m sticking with the Buell engineers on this one.

S1eric,

(forgive the serious comment here for ONLY a moment) - my gut level reaction is pretty much in line with yours. The intake horn together with the XB12-style airbox with that dimple centered over the horn is probably the best way to go.

I'm leaving my stock horn and airbox in place. Besides, I've found it is really nice to have the rubber horn there so if I need to rotate the motor, I'm not going to have to pull the intake horn, I just let it mash up forward against the frame.

I'm lazy and cheap. The rubber horn simplifies things (I also do not use the collar around the horn - I just mash the airbox floor down on top of it) - A horn $$ is a set of race tires, couple track days... for no demonstrated performance in CONTROLLED tests. I'm staying with what I've got.

My faith-based choices do not extend to motorcycle performance accessories.
