I was driving home from work last night and was on a flyover that connects a N-S freeway to an E-W freeway, the flyover is pretty friggin high up and it is a nice big curve...no one happened to be in front of me so I took the curve at a nice slow 80-90mph, came around the corner and started slowing for the commuter in the econo-box in front of me who was doing 60. At this point, the road goes from one lane, and joins up with another to form two lanes...the dude driving unrolls his window, waves for me to ride by and pulls into the slow lane...I'm sitting there staring at him then it finally clicks...and I almost fall off my bike when i realize how cool the dude is being...two clicks down and away I go, giving him a wave of appreciation as I passed.

Sometimes cagers totally amaze me...

ride safe...
Nick

Yeah I bet he rides too. I'm constantly pulling over for bikes when I'm in the truck.

Just the fact that the driver noticed you makes me think he rides.

When we ride in the mountains around Suches people pull over to let you by all the time. When it happened to me I wondered what was up. Now I almost expect them to let me by.
I love North Georgia.

Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking either that or he really likes to ride and wants to get into it someday... Part of the reason he may have been nice to me is I wasn't riding like a squid, no tailgaiting and flashing lights at him and bein a jerk. Frankly I didn't really care that he was going slow. I slowed to his speed probably 4 car lengths behind him, and he moves over! I'm still smilin!

I do my best to be a nice driver on the roads cause everybody needs a break sometimes...I don't particularly hurry out of the way for squids that come racing up behind me then sit on my bumper when I'm in the truck, but I try to never be the one to hold up traffic in the fast lane...if someone wants to go faster I move over...pretty simple really.

Just thought I would share that story with ya'll since most of the time were hear about what jerks people are and how another person got killed doing such and such-kinda like the way the evening news and newspapers report all the death and violence...you would think we live in a horrible world! So it's nice to get a breath of fresh air and get back to just living in peace with other human beings...

ya'll have a good Friday!

later,
Nick
