I think that the scoop looks very Cool!

I've contemplated the same thing myself. What did you use to paint it black?

Thanks. The paint is

Plasti-Kote and the color is "Trim Black." Bought it at the Pep Boys. This is an acrylic lacquer and goes on very easy, without primer needed. Coats dry very quickly so the whole process takes less than an hour. Can be sanded quickly if you run it.

Does look real good. How well does that color match stock?

I would of thought that scoop would create more down force not less!!!!

I also have installed this scoop and I love it. Balancing the look of the bike out this way made it worth every penny to me. : )

Well I declare this exercise a qualified success. I rode hard today for about an hour and a half and the fan did not come on when I stopped the bike. This is clearly a difference in back cylinder temperature.

I say qualified as the temp is 65 today and in hotter temps, the fan may still come on. However, no question that controlling for temps, the back cylinder is getting more air and more cooling.

Good stuff. So all the theory questions seem to have been answered by of course, practice!

Recommend this mod big time!

Your bike's going to explode man!

It'll cause acne and make your mutual funds lose value too.

Based on the current frame design, I don't see anyway to do this aftermarket! Certainly, Buell could look at this if and when they redesign the frame.

Nice idea though. Dual ram air. Sounds good doesn't it!
