How safe are these things when it comes to rpm limits. I know with cars, manufacturers build the motors to spin almost 1000 rpm safely over redline. But how about these buells, Am I safe to get up near and even touch that rev limiter every once in a while. |

I hope so or I'm in trouble! xbolt12 I do try to avoid ever hitting the hard limiter though. |

i hit mine frequently, but try to have the engine fully warmed up. yes they can take it. i have ten thousand miles on my 12, and it has probably bounced off the revlimiter at least 200 times. my sportster has over 50,000 miles on, and i have run that one up to 7000 many many times, although it is currently set down to 6K because i let my brother ride it. |

Happens to me every once in a while. Just don't keep it there. |

Done so on my old 93 FZR and it runs fine. Freaked the hell out of me first time it happened though. Just don't keep it up there and bouncing and you'll be fine. |
