I was talking to my dealer today about installing a TFI Box or PCIII on my XB12 to remapp the A/F ratio after just installing some performace mods. They told me the new Race ECM`s from Buell are now fully programmable and they have the software from Buell to make adjustments to peform load tests on their dyno. Has anyone else heard of this? They said Buell just released this a couple of weeks ago.

I was just talking to a factory guy today about ECMs and he didn't mention anything. He would know how interested I would be in this info. Dave |

Dont recall how big..or if the size was even mentioned. A certain certain someone who works at a certain certain dealership somewhere in the Appleton area has the paper with the details on the big axle news |

Obviously... I'm wondering how much more unsprung weight could be shaved by doing that. If any. |

Has there been a problem with axles breaking? Or is it the chance to use better wheelbearings that would cause the switch? |

Well I ain't heard of anyone breaking axles yet, but it looks like the Motec M4 could replace the XB race ecm holus bolus and do a you-beaut job of it. |

They just said the Race ECM was programmable through software now. I just wanted to see if anyone else has heard of this or are they just BSing me. M1 I think the Race ECM that is available to the Race Teams has external adjustments. |

BSing you Johncr250. The "Race team ECM" is programmed with a laptop and software. The race ecms we get will still not be programmable by the dealer or owner. There are other details but not really important to the end user so I won't go into that. Dave |
