Would love to have it, but can't until my warranty runs out . . . in three years(at least that's what the dealer told me)! Can I make yearly payments? Bob |

if you wanna keep your original muffler, should you ever need warranty work, just swap back...shady, but there is always a way around it. plus, if the muffler has nothing to do with the warranty work, for example, a cracked frame, don't they still have to honor the warranty? |

Rammons Tell the dummy dealer to read the warranty, "it MIGHT void your warranty" the key word is Might. what bads1 said find a new dealer... |

Bubba...that word "might" is a pretty powerful tool in the dealerships arsenal. Its a way out for a lot of lesser dealers who simply dont care about the consumer. |

I guess I should have noticed what forum I was in. I have an X1, not an XB. Sorry for any confusion Daves. Do you have a D&D for an '02 X1? I'm looking for a new dealer as I type. I just hope they will honor a warranty bought at a different dealer (can it be transfered to another dealer?). Bob |

I don't have one for an X1 in stock but would be happy to get one for you. They run 325.00 I think. The warranty, as long as it is the factory warranty will be good at any Buell dealer. Dave |

Hey Daves, Let me check on the warranty thing with the dealer I'm planning on doing business with in the future. After they give the thumbs up for a D&D addition, I'll let you know and I'll order one from you. Thanks for all the input! Bob |

>I agree and have been looking, but nothing so far. For any warranty work I would have to drive 10 hours back to the dealer where I bought the Buell. When I bought it, the dealer never mentioned ANY warranty work was to be handled through THAT particular dealer. I was under the impression I could take it to ANY dealer ANYWHERE and get warranty work done. Guess I got taken on that one. There is NO way I'm driving 10 hours just to get warranty work done so I'm forced to find a new dealer who might accept the existing warranty. Was the dealer wrong about any of this? I know this is the wrong forum for this kind of discussion, but here it is. Any advice from the Gurus who have been here before? Bob |

Like Dave just said, your Buell warranty is like a Ford or Chevy warranty...any Buell dealership has to honor it. The bullcrap they might try and pull to get out of fixing your problem under the warranty....well, that's the difference between a good dealership and a bad one. |

Them stripping your drain plug has nothing to do with the warranty. Dave |
