What are some good options for rear stands for spooled XB's? I know pitbull and T-Rex will work, but I will probably only use mine a couple times a year so I would rather not spend too much. Anyone tried the one from Harbor Freight? https://www.harborfreight.com/low-profile-rear-mot orcycle-spool-stand-99701.html |

Surprisingly solid for where you get it, lol. BUT it doesn't go nearly wide enough unless you spread it apart with a porta-power. |

I was afraid of that. Any other budget friendly options that will go wide enough? |

The only real issue I found with that one is that the wheels can develop flat spots or crack if you leave it on the stand for an extended amount of time. Which isnt a big deal, as you can probably source improved replacement wheels. But if you leave it on the stand during the week while waiting for parts to arrive or something, you may have the bike fall over at night or while at work. It may not be an issue for you, but just be aware and keep an eye on it. It is a good value for the $40. I've heard people have used the Venom brand stands also. |

The cheapos they sell at cyclegear, amazon etc (black round tubing) are about the same price as the HF ones and wide enough for xb's, 1125s though. |

I like the look and price of the HF one, but if it's not wide enough then it's not much help. I have looked for the venom one, but I believe they no longer exist. The cheapest thing they have at cyclegear is about $85. I'll take a look on amazon. |

I guess I got mine on sale, seems like it is pretty regularly on sale for $50. Maybe wait a couple weeks for black friday? Sorry. Another thing you can do is use regular old jack stands under the spools. Thats what i do on my 1125, until I drop the coin on a pitbull. (Message edited by cupcake_mike on November 04, 2020) |

I had to stretch my rear Venom stand too, It was close but works just fine now. This is also a cheap option for a really solid mount to work on the bike even without spools https://www.buellxb.com/forum/showthread.php?53809 -Cooter-makes-a-handy-XB-rear-stand-mount |

I have this one for the Uly https://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-swingarm- rear-stand-65620.html even cheaper. I turn the ears (?) around and put the pins inside the axle. I know its no good that way for changing tires but it does make a sturdy rest for other maintenance. |

Johnshore is that one wide enough to use without turning the ears around? I'd prefer to get one that uses the spools that I already have, but I only need to remove my kickstand for a little bit and do an oil change. |

Its snug. But being the high priced item it is, I think if you stand on it and pull you would easily make it a bit wider.

Thanks for checking! It looks like it just might work if it weren't for my sliders/spools. I'd have to go in front of them. (Message edited by badbueller on November 06, 2020) |

I have the HB one, had it for years. It's great. Fits my XB9SX just fine. |

Thanks guys! I may just try the HF one! I reached out to T-Rex on their website and on eBay to see which one fit my bike. They still haven't responded, so I may stay away from them. (Message edited by badbueller on November 10, 2020) |
