Dual throat fuel injection with different height stacks to optimize tuning between front and rear cylinders (kinda like the different exhaust lengths on the XB). Every little bit helps in racing! Not carbs for heaven's sake!

The VROD uses the same technology. One tall one short.

The real story is not so much the velocity stacks, but how the air gets into those stacks. Look at the other pictures to see how that is done.

Also look at the front brakes - Stock XB perimeter brakes, instead of dual brakes as last year.

So after all the hubbub about stock velocity stacks, short velocity stacks and long stacks all over the Badweb, it looks like going with a short and a long is the best way to squeeze out more power!!

Cool.

Mike.

I love the intake hoses, wish I had the space on my XB9R fairing.

Jim, they swapped over to the perimeter brakes last year after having the dual discs on for the first season.

Dyna,

Yeah, I got Henry Duga to speak at last nights American Sport Bike Night meeting, and he was explaining the brakes, velocity stacks, and a couple of other things.

He said no comment, with a quick smile on the rumor of a more powerful motor in July.

Jim

I would really like to know,
how match hp the crank and bearings can take in the long run before the crank flexes or the crank bearing/oil pomp gear go down the drain,
same thing with the oil pomp, do the use an stock like setup or do the use a oilpump that’s in the drive line off the crank ( rotating pomp )

ps.
I know they have to shoot me after wards ; )

Bud,

http://www.racingmotorcycles.com for a lot of the Buell parts.

Take a look at my website here -

http://softmagic.weblogger.com/pictures/

And look for Oil Cooler Plumbing for a look at the oil pump on the FX Buells.
