Has anybody had a problem with warrety work if they put an aftermarket exhaust system on themselves, or do you think i should just have the dealership install it.

My dealer says that any aftermarket exhaust will void your warranty.

I think he just hates Buells.

YMMV, as do various dealerships.

I believe they would only be able to refuse warranty work, if the new exhaust cannister you put on your bike, caused the problem. It has to be directly related...

And they have some wild ways of attempting to twist things around. Will blame all sorts of issues on your exhaust.

Course as Mike pointed out, your best defense is a good relationship with a good dealer.
