Mock up subframe cut from steel to verify it's exactly how I want it. Then I'll cut the real one out of aluminum. Getting the subframe bent into shape Subframe bent up Relocating all my electronics to the airbox area. I had to drop the front of the motor to fish the fuse boxes and wiring between the cylinder head and frame. Decided to knock out a quick mock up triple. I'd hate to spend a lot of time building a nice triple only to not have it fit. My fork center to center spacing and offset are spot on. Now to make the real one. Got the first op done on the top triple. This is the bottom side.

designing new rearsets. rear brake design is 100% totally different and the only stock part utilized will be the rotor. Started on the first pieces for the rearsets. Made the next parts for the rearsets And made these little spacers that will let me accurately measure the tapped rearset hole locations

Clipons have more drop than I wanted, so I'll probably be changing them. Made an ignition cover slider. I'll probably round it over instead of keeping it pointed. I'll also dye it black. This is what I plan on doing to the swingarm. Windowing it. Playing around with the new mufflers Trying to decide exactly how I want my window And took about 1/2" off the sliders. Thinking of making new pucks that are bulged out in the center. And the other side I haven't done yet.

Nice triple clamp, very beautiful and the cut outs resemble the hub in the wheels? does the new T clamp have any greater function than stock or is it just for the look? not dissin' ya but wondering? those white frame sliders would be cool if they were back lit like a dome light..guess that would not give enough protection?.. could that ignition cover be made see thru? GOOD PHOTOGRAPHY as well. |

thanks everyone. The top triple was built to run clipons above the triple. Normally there isnt enough fork tube sticking through for clipons to go above it. Im not a big fan of lights or anything, so i wont be doing anything like that. Im a believer that less is more. |

Gorgeous machine work on the triple! Are you using a Haas? From the looks of it there are 3 seperate angles your doing on the top of the triple? Do you have an A axis or did you do a more "creative" setup for that You are not worried about the structural integrity of the swingarm? |

If the swing arm is boxed it should be nearly as strong, it was probably over engineered to make it last anyway. |

The triple was all done on a 3 axis mazak. I got creative with the angles on top. I wish I had a 5 axis machine. I think the swingarm will be plenty strong once it's boxed and finished. It's roughly .200" thick. The other side will be much more highly modified, and theoretically stronger than stock once finished. |

Does anyone know the bearing # for the belt tensioner pully? I'm designing my new pully and need to make the bearing bores the appropriate size, but I'm having trouble finding the bearings. |

Uggg! I don't think I kept my old ones, but I do know I ordered from Boca bearings and got nice ones with SRI-2 grease. I'll see what I can find. (Message edited by greg_e on December 03, 2014) |

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been busy working on my house and installing my new car lift. I've also been doing side jobs to make up going over budget on this build. Got a little work done on the swingarm. I tried to keep the welds down so when I smooth them they don't loose much material. |

One more filler piece for the inside and the window is done. I'm going to plug the two caliper mount holes and bolt the caliper mount on from the inside.

Started on the new belt tensioner pulley. It's 3.25" OD versus the stock 4.625" OD. This should give me room to push the mufflers rearward. And I tapped the caliper mounts for helicoils.

Welded up the caliper mount holes, and finished capping the factory holes.
