has anyone tried to polish their rims? is this possible? I am also curious about the heads for the bike as well. I know that misato had his done but i didnt know if it was a performance polishing. I wish the damn enter key worked on this keyboard. Mookie |

The XB9 rims are clear coated. That would have to be removed. Plus the casting is really rough. It would take forever. I thought about just doing the outside face of each spoke to give some reflection there. That would be the most I would be willing to polish on the XB wheels. |

My 2003 XB9S rims are painted silver except where they are machined. Keith |

Skully, It may be paint, it looks like just clear coated rough raw aluminum to me, but I've been fooled before. |

Mookie, Take your rims to a polisher, and they will tell ya if they are dooable or not. I know a guy here in Kansas City that will but he is not cheap, your probably talking couple hundred each. Just a guess. Paul |
