There was an issue with kickstands. Look for an "R" to see if yours is ok.
There was a quality issue with the wheel bearings. When you look at them if the seal is orange you have the newer ones. If there black they'll be replaced for free.
Other than these issues I've not heard of any recalls.

on S models, the wire that goes to the horn is routed in such a way that it rubs on the horn bracket mounting screw. the fix involves shortening the bolt, rerouting the wire, and applying chafing gear ( heatshrink or tape) to the damaged wire.

Fullpower the recall for the horn wire was only on the XB12S not on the 9's

took to harley and they ran my vin. told me no recalls. seals are orange and the kickstand looks to have a little R on it. however, i still had to mod the kickstand cause it would idle off of it on any angle down to the front. i just ground the stop a little to make it kick out further. actually rests on stand now as opposed to barely stays up.

The horn wire recall applies to XB9S, XB9SL and XB12S bikes built between June 23, 2003 and August 27, 2003.

Anyone know where on the kickstand the little 'R' is supposed to live in designating the kickstand as NOT being subject to the 9R's recall?

Thanks,

B
