Last summer I started to notice what looked like water spots on the right side of my windshield. I didn't notice any wetness then but now I'm starting to notice some right where the banjo bolt goes into the master cylinder. Brake action isn't "spongy" as far as I can tell, and I haven't loosened that connection. I did put a wrench on and try to tighten the banjo bolt, but got no movement. This is a 09 with 13,xxx miles.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure it isn't petrol (gas) that may have splashed there when filling up? That can discolour the plastics the same as brake fluid.

If you are definitely leaking brake fluid then you would see a drop in level and a noticeable 'spongy' feel at the lever and eventual reduction in brake power, but if you suspect it is brake related get it checked out properly ASAP (suddenly finding you have no front brake is not recommended as a reminder to get them checked!)
