man I bet them thar things is loud...sherm....sherm...sherm!!!!! can ya hear me!!! you might want to think about a front mount tho it looks pretty close to the oil lines and there will be some movement around there. now we need a loud pipes contest between this and a force. man I can hear them from here. sherm are ya gonna dyno it? |

No crap in the bed Gearloose, just wanted to get some Badweb "work" done before I get to work. I'm still trying to get out from under everything that piled up while I was gone. Ride to the edge! Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

I made 'em myself, thanks. They seem to add to the top end, midrange is about the same by the seat of the pants (it still snap wheelies at 3K RPM). The machine screws you can see just ahead of the mounting clamps hold some circular inserts in place that restrict the airflow enough to add a little backpressure. The sound is a lot like an open sportster, but not as deep. I'm not worried about a lean condition, it runs great, and I think the blueness is just because it's made with plain mild steel. Had this on for months, no contact with the oil lines. |

That looks like something I would like to have on my bike for the drag strip days. What are the odds of going back and forth from the race kit pipe, to something like that without having to mess with TPS recal? And,,, would it be necessary to go with larger dia. for the 12R? |
