Dyna, was it 6 hours since you last heard the drummer mentioned, or was it 6 hours since you last started a rant about something?

Why do people seem to think popular=good. McDonalds is the most popular restaurant in the world, but do they serve the best food? I love my Drummer and that's all that counts in my warped little world!

It's been warped for a VERY long time. Associations like ours just keep it well fed and and healthy.

Yeh well theres one thing I don't like about the drummer - you can't ride anywhere without people looking to see where that Big Fat Sound is coming from.
Spose I'll just have to grin and bear it :)

tell austrailia hey from the hillbillys.

BTW
the newest thing I have to add to this is this. Tilley's race xb which is 1340cc and all that good stuff. has been tested with the drummer on it on the dyno. we just did this a couple weeks ago and I did not find out till last week. but with that big of displacement and such. The drummer held its own with the race pipes we've been running on it. What I mean by that is this. It didn't lose anything comparative to what we had been using.
so the drummer can handle a very large displacement engine. which once again kevin has amazed me with his knowledge. he told me when we were putiing it together and testing it on the nine that it would but I'll be honest. I didn't believe him. Now I do.

Bubba,

Is the race bike running a race only set of flywheels or do you guys gave a source for aftermarket?

Based on a past discussion with Aaron I'm guessing it has a stroke around 3.6". According to them that should be the sweet spot for the big displacement XB motor, just wanted to know what you guys think of it.

Fullpower,

I know that, but it wasn't the question that I asked.

To put it in the simplest of terms.

What stroke is the Tilley XB motor running to achieve the 1340cc displacement?

If it is the basic Thunderbike motor the stroke is probably close to 3.6", if not I wondered what it is. Additionally, are the flywheels available from the aftermarket, custom built, or "Race Only" parts from Buell Racing?

Brian,
That's great news about the drummer and big cc motors. Are you gonna give Kev a pay rise he deserves it.
They're still having probs tuning my 12 after 2 tps resets but we're co-operating and it will happen. No probs at WOT though!
I would love to see some more drummers in Oz but even the local dealership service center didn't ask me where it came from - I will give the salesman I bought the bike from a test ride,(he's a WOT fanatic and tries to keep at least one wheel off the ground most of the time, front or back) I know he'll love the drummer...and this is on a 12 what are they using on 9's here? - 3rd world country around here. its pretty slow. Thanks for a great pipe, maybe let customers know it takes 250 miles to break it in and sound its best. Or 150 miles if you ride like Bubba. :)

All someone has to do is ride it! I can’t say too much more than what is already posted. Well worth the down time to obtain one!
